Get Outdoors for Freedom
We are kicking off our 2026 Get Outdoors for Freedom Season with our 1st event of our series, our 3rd annual Light the Darkness 5K run/walk on January 24th. The Seaside Stride follows on April 11th! We just launched our Expedition Rise hike for the summer in the Maroon Bells/Snow Mass Wilderness in Colorado.
We are inviting you to RISE to the Call of Action in the crisis of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation by participating, raising awareness and fundraising for the cause.
This is a global issue that is also happening in our own communities. It is our intention to provide solutions for you and me to be involved and work TOGETHER to end human trafficking!
The money we raise goes directly to ending Human Trafficking in our communities.

3rd Annual Light the Darkness 5K
Proceeds benefit the prevention, identification, rehabilitation and support of survivors of those who have been sexually exploited.
We encourage individual fundraising for this event to help bring awareness to the cause. This is the official launch of our Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series. If you love the outdoors and want to contribute to the solution in ending human trafficking, you can walk, run, paddle or hike....All for the Freedom of others! Guest speaker Laura Esquivel of Atlas Free will be attending.

This is a sunset out and back BEACH race that will start on the beach in front of our NEW LOCATION, Lori Wilson Park.

3rd Annual Seaside Stride beach trek
Seaside Stride Beach Trek will be on April 11, 2026 with an 5:00 or 8 am start. A 10 or 20 mile out and back beach trek starting and returning from Fish Lips Bar & Grille at Port Canaveral.
This is not a race, but a community event to gather outdoor enthusiasts TOGETHER to help bring awareness and fundraise together to end the sexual exploitation of others.
This is a distance trek, which is meant to be challenging and will be an all day event with a celebration at the end at Fish Lips Waterfront Grill. The course and additional information is in the sign up link below.

Expedition RISE Maroon Bells
Freedom Fighters will trek through the Maroon Bells - Snow Mass Wilderness in Colorado in recognition of the ability we have to RISE and make a difference in human exploitation. The team will hike from Aspen to Crested Butte on July 20th 2026, and will hike back to Aspen on July 21, 2026.
